Subject: OSSE BRDF data Date: Fri, 03 Aug 2012 13:30:44 +0000 From: Jerome Vidot To: Eva Borbas Hi Eva, How are you doing ? I an currently uploading the HSR BRDF data on the follwing ftp site: There will be 24 files for each monthly mean solar hour in UTC from 0 to 23 named CMSsolarbrdf_V1.0_*UTC.nc In each files you have: wavelength [2101] lat [262,442] lon [262,442] mean solar zenith angle [262,442] flag [262,442] for Quality Index: 0=sea, 1=Good, 2=Medium, 3=Filled, 4=Snow, 5=Bad, 6=No Data HSR BRDF [2101,265,442] I provided the solar zenith angle I've used for calculation of the BRDF. It allows also to mask the unrealistic BRDF value. BRDF are good for SZA lower than 70°. But for convenience I calculated for any SZA which give some strange results above 70°. The HSR BRDF data are interger values (to reduce file size) so you need to multiply by a scaling factor of 0.001 and no offset. I've done the files a bit quickly and I did not have time to fully check so let me know if you get any trouble with the data and feel free to give my email adress to Brad if needed.
